Immaculate '88 LT with only 36,000 original kms on the clock... Any idea if the original factory
pinstriping was done before clear coating, or after? the bike is missing pinstripes which leads me
to believe its had a respray, but it would be nice to re do them.

Gidday Fellas,

TBH I have never really seen pinstripes on any "K" model bikes, but in saying that I have never really paid any great attention to the detail of them when looking at them either over the years.

Pinstriping on them would look silly as they are not curvy and rounded like the old "R" bikes..

Love the colour to BTW, very nice and the low mileage is a big bonus...

Gidday,

Like I said I have not paid much attention in the past to the K's, always the R100's back then, and now I still do to tell ya the truth and my K1100 has no pin-striping at all.

Righto then!, now we can chat LT' bullshit and get the "K" section of this site rolling along a little more often than it has been.

Talk to ya soon! - must go and cook some tea

Yes, eventually everything is.

The question is: when?

The answer is: I have no idea.
