Who made the /5 & /6 rims? I haven't seen a logo stamped on them.

I was pleased to see Weinmann on my /6, as I am quite familiar with the company from my bicycle experience.

I don't remember seeing the name on the rims, so that is why I asked.
So, they make bicycle rims too? I infer that you found them to be quality?

The name was stamped on the rims right next to the cracks coming from the spoke nipple holes.

Good solid stuff. Rims and brakes. Neither would be on a bike I was racing, but certainly on an everyday rider. If my guess is right, Chuey recently did a ride in Montana on a Weinmann-equipped bike.

Fwiw mine is a 73 Lwb the front rim is an Akront, rear has a sticker imprint that is the same as on the front near the valve, not sure if they are the originals though. It was from FNQ where it could have been used for anything from land clearance to stationary engine.

I just ordered a new set of rims from BMW and they are now made by Behr. Beautiful looking rim fwiw.
