I was looking at some nice 750/5 rocker assemblies and wondering if they are the same that was used on the R90/6 early model. Mine is a 73 build, has /5 controls, were other parts migrated on the early models?

My 1974 R75/6 has the needle bearings, the /5 would have bronze bushings. That said, I think they will bolt right up and work. More info here: http://largiader.com/tech/rockers/

Jagarra, German eBay is a good place to look, and you have the option of getting the improved /7 version. I bought a set last year for my old girl. They were from a young bike, showed no wear and are nice and quiet in operation.

Thanks Charlie, too bad there isn't a translator on that site, couldn't tell if I could buy them outright for 55 euros, then again the shipping. Not desperate for parts, just looking to pick up spares. Maybe Duane's clean up process will yield a nice set.

Yep, understood, Jagarra. But just in case, it's an easy matter to deal with this mob despite the language barrier. "Sofort-kaufen" means "Buy it now". You can highlight and copy any bits of german, open a new Google tab, type "translate" and paste in the text. Google Translate makes it easy, and there are some excellent bargains to be had from Gummikuh.

They got sold, went for $44.00, just will wait till another set comes up. Funny that you mentioned to say nothing about the war. My family spent WWII in occupied France, my mom always referred to them as the Bosch. Personally I don't have any ill feelings. I just like my Beemer. My poor Triumph is feeling neglected, hasn't been ridden in months.
There is a great seller on e-bay that breaks down BMW's, very good quality, accurate descriptions and low starting bids. I follow his auctions, bought quite a bit from him. Been trying to find a good right metal brake line for an ATE caliper. Got plenty of lefts, on the right I do have a PO took a pair of vise grips to fitting on caliper end, made a buggered mess.

Jagarra, you do know that the metal brake lines are not a BMW specific item? Any decent auto parts store should stock a variety of straight ones in different lengths, then bend to fit. It helps to have the little roller tool for making the bends. You're right, Larry Chabira (aka Lamontsanfurd) is an excellent source. I've bought many things from him over the years too.

I did that to the R65 when I changed the handlebars...needed a longer one and VW parts were the ticket.
