Was it here that someone recently was asking about the Dyna ignition? I just put one on eBay and it is item # 141238833293.

Duane, I looked at your eb post and saw your comment about the instructions. Check out this link to Dynatek, http://www.dynaonline.com/skins/downloads/Default.aspx.

I just removed a Dyna from a R90/6 and I'm looking to reinstall points. You don't happen to have a points backing plate do you? Mike

If Duane doesn't I'll look through my junk valuable spares. I had a spare, but it may have gone with my conversion.

Sold one just a couple of weeks ago and the points were still very good. I don't blame you for going back to points. They seem to have a bad reputation and that is too bad.

I looked at the Dyna site and didn't find instructions for BMW. The Dyna worked out OK for me, but it was only one there for a few thousand miles, at most.

I collected parts to make up my "perfect bike" and then hardly road it at all. Now I am parting it out. There may be some cosmetic issues, but all of the parts that I used were very good mechanically. They were the best that I had collected.

Just testing out the <strike>strike</strike> feature. What am I doing wrong?

Duane -

When you get to the link provided above, find Dyna III in the pulldown box. Then click on Lookup. Then you'll find the BMW instructions for standard and dual plug BMWs.

Kurt, found it, thanks, I will add that to my listing. Should give a bit more confidence for bidders. As soon as I sell it and ship it out, I will stumble across the directions in some pile of papers.

Duane, may I ask: do you have a '72 /5 oil filter cover hanging around somewhere? I need one in usable condition for a runner, not for a restoration.

Budget: $10 + shipping to Ontario

Thanks, Stephen

Yep, just checked my old R50/5 lower end that is good, but who will want it? I will remove the cover and mail it to you. It is the type with the 3 hex bolts. No cost, just send me your mailing address and it will go out in the next mail. I can just fill out the customs form as "gift" and you pay no tax.

Duane, I have meanwhile found a cover local, so no need to pull things apart.
