Hey Dan, welcome man.

Us Boxerworker Ossies just about outnumber the Boxerworker U.S. guys now.
We can get away with a lot of cheek.

I've been watching Dan's lightening quick resto on ADV old's cool. An amazing transformation.

Looks super neat , you've done a nice job ! My uncle did the same (T.I.C to a CS ) many years ago , parts supplied by his favourite nephew ( me ) !. He was very impresssed with the over all performance when the full fairing etc was removed.

And not a minute too soon either! Welcome Dan.

Dan also had a R100RS that was a treat!

After a long time with RS's. It is a bit of shock riding a 33/11. I keep on looking for a 6th gear :)

The race to the self imposed finish line has thrown up some curve balls that I had not come across before. Park the bike on the centre stand and no leaking of oil from the bottom of the fork legs. Take the bike off the stand an oil comes gushing out of the 4mm drain hole. Like there is no screw in there at all.

Take the screw out and replace the copper washer again and again. Still leaking from the 4mm drain screw.
Bit the bullet last Friday afternoon and pulled the forks completely apart. After spending big dollars having the sliders re chromed and fork legs powder coated. Was not impressed of having to rebuild the forks again

With forks completely apart. It did stand out where the leak was coming from. This bike has done more dirt roads than GS I know. The spacer that fits in the bottom of the fork had worn with all the pounding and the "o" ring in the fork was also buggered.

Helps having spares to look at an use.

Worn spacer thing.

The tiny "o" ring hides at the recess.

Fixed the forks and went for a ride and on return. Parked the bike at the front of the garage. The left hand carb starts pouring fuel out of the over flow. Doh!!!

The last RS. If I had another one. I would try a mono.

It was a weak moment selling the RS. I rode a friends 1100s an thought WOW, how long has this been going on. The 1100s just egging me on to ride it faster and faster.
