EBC Discs picking the right size

Hi all, wondering if there is some information out there for finding the right discs for a given set of wheels/forks. I think Motorworks have supplied me with the wrong size discs for my 1981 R80TIC. The bike came with spoke wheels and dual discs on the brembo forks. I ordered a set of replacement discs from them and they supplied the "deep throw" ones and after tonight I am pretty sure I need the shallow ones as one of the disc touches the forks.
Anyone an expert on the subject or can point me to a resource to shed more light?
Also, some info on stock wheel spindle spacers would be good.
