I sort of hate to ask this question, but why?
The tubeless spoked wheel, also known as the 'cross-spoke' wheel since the spokes cross from one side of the hub to the other side of the rim, is still available on the 1200 bikes. It's really a great wheel, as it is VERY sturdy and quite stable. I'm on my third cross-spoke-equipped bike and I have had ZERO problems with these wheels, and that includes ZERO need for any adjustment of even a single spoke. I've hit a few pot-holes without any sign of damage or reduced roundness or straightness, and I've heard stories of these wheels remaining true after some fork-mangling crashes. The fact that the spoke-planes attach at two different arcs along the rim I think has a lot to do with these excellent characteristics.enigmaT120 wrote:BMW came up with those cool spoked tubeless wheels for the GS bikes, where the spokes attach to the rim outside the tire's edge.
