Just wanted to say I sold the RS and will be bike-less for a bit. I did get a 4 valve Yamaha instead (YBB-631) so as you can tell my interests have shifted gears a bit. ;)

A tuba is in no way a viable replacement for a ride. Are you telling us you are only able to have one interest?

I grew up playing tuba and trombone, and then the switch to electric bass guitar was a natural one. Yes, I know I can have more than one hobby, my problem is all of my hobbies are TOO expensive!!! Maybe I need to give myself a raise. ;)

Nah! I think it's just the opposite, as in all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. The ultimate goal, I submit, is to acquire all the hobbies you can while working just enough to support them.

Now if you're married, your pursuit of the ultimate goal can sometimes make wives unhappy which in turn makes you unhappy. This is what happens, all to often, to happy men.

I am good in THAT department. My wife shares my passion for music, motorcycles, and model railroading. She is not too excited about wiring/electronic repair, and mechanics, and a lot of my "other" things, but she continues to find new ways to amaze me.
