R75/5 new speedo review
Just a quick word to say that the new speedometers released by motometer seem ok. Just checked mine with TOM TOM and it is spot on. The needles are very steady and smooth but the Tacho is a little blunted to blips on the throttle. The lights seem to be LED and they give away the fact that it is a re...

Re: Far kin' electric fences
apparently good investments. Classic cars have doubled in the last 18 months. wish the same was with bikes.
(I should have put the comments under the pictures. The $50,000 applied to the messerschmitt not the alvis).

It must have been classic car weekend. There was a bit of a show on in melbourne too. Mainly British and European. A classic bike section too but I think more convienient parking. http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b512/equipo5/441057b2-906e-462f-9786-24b1f3a3a2b9_zpszz9p3rxi.jpg Lashings of these....

Re: Houston, I think I have a problem! – Driveshaft.
Thanks for the heads up.
Actually I just lashed out on a seat. (Packaged it with the clutch spring), so I will have to let this one go but will be watching.
Cheers

Re: Houston, I think I have a problem! – Driveshaft.
Ahh. The drive shaft has a female spline that fits over the male cog in the final drive. The female spline of the drive shaft is free to move back and forth as the swing arm moves up and down. If the swing arm is not fixed in place the female spline can slip off the male cog. The photos explain all ...

Houston, I think I have a problem! – Driveshaft.
I had the gear box out of my R75 and I noticed I could easily pull the drive shaft forward, and when I did, the rear end of the shaft dropped down inside the swing arm. I was able to manipulate it back into what felt like a spline. A closer look at Haynes and it seems there should be a nut holding i...

Re: How to tell clutch wear?
Just received my new clutch spring for my R75 from Motorworks today. It is 1mm higher (18.5mm) than my old failing spring (17.5mm).
I couldnt measure the pressure and cover plates but from Duanes site I gather the smoother the more contact area.
cheers
