Re: Oil filler leakage.
I totally agree with MS. I just replaced both O-rings on my '96 R1100RT (the one on the cap and the one that seats into the valve cover). I used O.E.M. O-rings. It was quick/ cheap and easy fix.

Re: 1977 BMW R100/7 float needle question
I just looked up on Max BMW's on line parts and the only float needles they show and describe are the same as the ones I just received. They are the ones with three sides, rubber tip, and retaining clip. These needles wont work in that they are too large in diameter and wont go into the float valve ...

Re: 1977 BMW R100/7 float needle question
Yes those are the correct ones. I tried to upload a photo of the old and new with no luck. I'm curious why Bike bandit and a couple other on line parts houses don't show the two different needles. I contacted Bike Bandit and they said that BMW only shows what i was sent as being correct. (the one wi...

Re: R1100 RT (97)
I used this method on my '96 r1100rt. This way you can warm up the bike with the stand down then if you put the bike in gear with the stand still down it will kill the engine.

1977 BMW R100/7 float needle question
Hi everyone I am new here and am having trouble finding an answer about the carb. float needle on a 1977 R100/7. I ordered a pair of float needles from bike bandit and received original BMW O.E.M. #13111335318 float needles. These are not the same needles that are in these carbs. I checked with a co...
