New to me 1991 R100R has been tinkered with to a level where one carb has a nail as the float pin, one is missing the o ring on the idle jet, one carb is set 3 3/4 turns out, the other a bit over 4 turns out. Will the lawn tractor battery fit like it does the later models? lots cheaper and I have good service out of them, not 7 years worth, but much cheaper.

What is everyone doing / using for plugs, wires, resistor caps, and coils for the "newer" rides like my 91 R100?

Is the 5k total resistance in play here as it is for my 1979 bikes?

Can I use the old VW blue coils on this one?

1991 R100, 55k, not firing one one side. Wire, coil, wire cap maybe? Nice and clean.
