6 Volt battery question
Is there a need to buy a 6V battery with say 14 amp/hour capability as opposed to one with say 4 amp/hr?
I realize that the battery will flatten faster if the lights are left on without the engine running, but assuming you don't do that, are there any other negatives?

Re: Upgrades / Modernization
If your headlight bulb is an H4 you can replace with an led. http://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/4000-Lumen-H8-H9-and-H11-LED-Headlight-Bulb_p_94.html Just a comment. Every H4 LED I have come across so far, is at minimum an extra half inch longer on the back end, either with a small fan or a heat...

Re: How to lower front fork height?
[quote="barryh" Failing all that early R65's have the lowest seat height of any of the contemporary Airheads.[/quote] Yes, she had an R65 for 20 years, then changed to the R100RT about 5 years ago. The RT is slightly higher and definitely a bit top heavier, and as age increases it is just ...

Re: How to lower front fork height?
A possible solution would be trading for a conversion bike: the /2 seat is much lower. . Thank you MS, Funnily enough I have a /2 (not a conversion though) as well as the the 1000's. Will look at a few of the ideas stated above. I also, am having height problems with a new machine to me, the X-Chal...

Re: How to lower front fork height?
Thanks guys, Some useful info there. Looking at some of the pics, I might have been wrong that the CC Products top won't allow the tubes to be pushed up. I should have pulled my RS apart to check, but it wasn't readily available to work on, so I was being lazy. Will have to look for one. What prompt...

How to lower front fork height?
Hi , 1983 R100RT - standard OEM flat plate for top of triple tree Any easy ideas to lower front end height? I can go a lower profile tire for the rear, but can't see an 80 profile for the 19" front. I have a CC products top plate on my old RS, but this still doesn't let the tubes slide through ...

Re: R80 Valve seats
MaxBMW still lists them in +2 and +4 sizes. Thanks, I like that Swiss site. Sorry , I was looking at your answer and thought you had given me https://www.bmwbike.com/index.php then I got back and found you mentioning Max BMW. Guess it depends on how much stock each place actually has. When I querie...

(they still stock the 1000cc ones) Luckily , my non official shop had one left in his stock, so I am going to be OK How have people dealt with this recently? Know...
