1. Why is my front brake master cylinder reservoir being pressurized?
2. How can this problem be resolved?

A friend of mine had the same issues with his 1982 RS. I'm not sure he ever solved the problem, but I think it's in moth balls by now. Anyway, take off you float bowl's. With the bowl upright in your hand look at it's interior. You should see a small channel / port on the edge of one of the corners....

As far as I can tell they're not being manufactured any longer. I see them regularly on e-Bay and they fetch quite a sum.

IMO, It was a safety reason that the windshield was attached with plastic rivets.

I have a similar problem on my RS and am to cheep to have it fixed. I found OEM units on ebay but were also pricey. I did find suitable replacements when searching marine applications. D*#n if I can remember the manufacturers name though.

Very cool. I've made a similar shelf for the same reason. I was very concerned about the stress that contraption puts on those four screws holding the stock rack to the fiberglass seat shell. What do you think?
