Re: Brunhilde refurb update

G'day mate... long time no see. She's looking lovely. I'm heading home from an extended ride soon and probably should do something with my R90S... but there's a 1930's 16C Norton and hopefully a B33 Beeza following me (if I can sneak it out of Myanmar) I've watched a few seats being remodelled over ...

Re: LED spotlights ??

To update this thread, I've put 25,000km on the bike in the last 12 months.... 30,000 since the lights went on. One of the lights died due to water ingress, the other one is still working. The dimmer switch isn't working properly any more and I've just angled the light down a bit. The conditions hav...

Re: 41mm Mikunis - will they work on a bored 90S?

The original carbies for 900cc were Dellorto 38mm pumpers. With an extra 100cc ????

41mm Mikunis - will they work on a bored 90S?

Can anyone tell me whether 41mm Mikuni TX Pro Series Flat Slide carbies would suit a '74 R90S engine that has been bored to take 100S pistons.... please?

I'm not sure about the cleaner. My neighbour gave me a bottle of white powder. It worked well

Re: The time has come....

Progress! A midnight email from Ontic alerted me to some Dellorto carbies. I woke a certain gentleman up this morning methinks, and they are winging their way to me now. Of course, I forgot to get the other things I need off him... but they can wait. I need the carbies on and the engine in the frame...

Re: Sleeping bags ? What do you use ?

Size "standard".... half yer luck. My first sleeping bag, I busted out the bottom and stitched (OK, Mum stitched) some old blanket on as an extension, so that my legs could stretch out.

Re: Sleeping bags ? What do you use ?

I've got a Kathmandu 600g goose down bag that I carted around Cambodia and Vietnam for two months. Used it twice. I took it out a couple of weeks back... ended up getting out of it and just using the silk liner. My wife took it on a NZ south island walk at Christmas... and took a thermal liner (tiny...

Re: Throttle lock /cruise control for an R80 ?

This is what I use. http://www.ioffer.com/img/item/112/601/622/2AkM.jpg Those things can be deadly. They are great on a slab ride, but beware. Very beware. I had one on my KTM 950 when I went over a railroad level crossing. I gave it a squirt as I went over, the front came up.... and with that damn...

Re: LED spotlights ??

To give an idea of how these work as daytime running lights, here they are on my bike (2nd bike down the hill). I actually run with the headlight off and just the LEDs on a fair bit. These are legal (I believe) wired up this way. They can be switched off, they are dimmed to an acceptable level on lo...
