Re: 20th Annual Savannah BMW Riders Rally

Slight change for location of low country boil on Tybee Island, it's now at the open pavilion just behind City Hall, very close to the original location. I've updated the main post to reflect the change.

Thanks,
Rich

Re: Clicking sound in the driveshaft area

Not sure if someone covered this already but I just went through that on a newly acquired 100RS, turns out PO did not tighten the driveshaft bolts to the transmission flange. By the time I removed the boot after isolating the sound, two of the four bolts had backed completely out and were rolling ar...

Re: /5 mirror options

If you have any vibration problems you can use a rubber washer between the headlight ear and the metal washer to the mirror, works great. As I and others have mentioned they take a little getting used to but are very workable. I went throught the same issue when I put mine on as far as mounting posi...

Re: /5 mirror options

I have a set of Albert's on my R75, no vibration and they look great. Not exactly the best position for a mirror but you get use to them.

Re: Sta-bil Stumble?

I've been using Seafoam in my bikes and boats for years, we ride all year round so no real storage issues. On my little Boston Whaler with a 40hp Johnson that sits out side year round it made a big difference, especially after the 10% ethanol addition in all of our fuel. Note: I don't use it all the...

Guys,

I'll let you know exactly how it works once the bike arrives, I just bought it on Wednesday and having it shipped to Savannah.

Re: Boyer ignition problem?

I had a similar problem on my R75/5 with a Boyer installed, bike would shut down intermittently. Turns out the fuse holder had a crack that was expanding and the fuse would lose contact and the engine would shut down. I replaced the fuse holder and have not had a problem since, bike runs great.
