2014 Spring Boxerworks in Oz.

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

That'd be good. Now hold that prediction for a few more days!
The Omeo forecast from the BoM is a general one for the whole of East Gippsland. I reckon it'll be very nice at the Duck.

Pete is riding up on Friday, probably via Hotham.
Bob is riding on Friday from Narooma, possibly via Benambra, otherwise Omeo Highway.
Mal is heading off from Dubbo on Thursday, staying overnight somewhere Wagga-ish, and may meet us for the ride up the Omeo Highway on Friday arvo.
Jane and I, and possibly LaverdaLex, plan to leave Bethanga around 1330.
Jeff and Jim are riding up on Saturday via Hotham or Falls Creek.
And the southerners - Grant and Steve - are coming through Bruthen.
Any other takers? All welcome.

All the best roads lead to The Duck. I predict some wide grins.

Steve, I put more faith in the Norwegians' knowledge of our weather.

Omeo: http://www.yr.no/place/Australia/Victor ... /long.html
Mitta Mitta: http://www.yr.no/place/Australia/Victor ... /long.html
Bruthen: http://www.yr.no/place/Australia/Victor ... /long.html

Dunno if they use a superior algorithm, but their forecasts work really well. I'm pretty sure they extrapolate/interpolate the data to the actual town, and you can punch in whatever town you like. Sunday travellers will possibly get a bit wet. Monday travellers a bit more so. Of course we appreciate the chance to test our wet weather gear, tyres and riding technique.

You Melburgians are very fortunate, having so many opportunities to practice in the wet. Grin.

Gidday,

Bike ready to go and the only decision now is:

The big comfy chair with stubby holder holders?? or the small compact saddle like, having to stand every so often to stretch out the lower-back, three legged folding stool?

Grant, I reckon the words "big", "comfy" and "stubby holders" may provide the key to solving this problem.

Hi fellas,
Very sorry to say I can't make this trip. I could really do with it but have pressing domestic issues to attend to.
Hope you have a fantastic time and have some good pics and stories to share.
Cheers
