"we" have made great bikes in 1920 / 1940 a lot of great rod ans race bikes

You've got a part of this history here

http://www.moto-histo.com/france/france.htm

Nowdays only Peugeot syill exist but they only make mopeds and scooters
Back in days they made

http://moto.caradisiac.com/L-Aventure-P ... ddoc=26134
in 1926
http://www.passionautomobile.com/retrom ... 2-500.html
1923
http://www.delcampe.net/page/item/id,27 ... age,E.html

Terrot 1935
http://www.moto-collection.org/moto-col ... fiche=6210

Some stranges engines here ;

http://www.moto-histo.com/4c_arch/4c_arch.htm

Before WW1, maybe 50 french brand some build proper engines and some buy them
after WW1 (1939 / 1045) all the small brand died. In 1950, brit bikes perform better than french, this was the begining of ending story. The jap bikes arrival kill all the rest !

now :

and http://www.avinton.fr/page6/index.html
But.... If I try to click on the England flag : nothing ! That's mabe what kill a lot of french brand !

I thought I remembered a really hot concept or maybe even a prototype of a French sports bike a few years ago. Anyone remember that?\

Edit: I searched on it, it was Midual.
