When did you order it?
Ah, you 'mericans are such slack bastards. We've been waiting for years for somebody to show up from up-over so we can offer a bit of hospitality, bullshit and general abuse.
My news is that Brunhilde's 'reconditioned' gearbox has shat itself. It's a '74 build box that I bought to replace the tired and grumpy original '73 build box about 40k kms ago. It has always been a bit noisy but recently started CLACKING. Opened it up and found:
Two dogs broken off the sliding gear on the intermediate shaft but only one dog found in the bottom of the box. Parts are unobtainium for this vintage. I do have the original box and will be opening that up to see what the innards are like. The good news is that Mal of Dubbo is sending me his spare box to keep me going, so I will be attending all events on the calendar. Thanks, Mal of Dubbo.
