Gidday,

Fairings are now off both the 78 and 81.

Image

Red fairing is going to the 81 and the gold fairing is soon to be getting prepared, painted then going on the 78, hopefully before Christmas...

Just cleaning, fixing and tidying up the frames, wiring and whatever I can see..

RS bikes are like Barbie Dolls - you can change outfits for different occasions. Have fun, Grant.

Just WTF do we have here...

Open went the shed door last night to have a little tinker before dinner and I'm staring at this sprawled out in front of me.

Just look at that f@%king cat on the bench, he knows more about this than he's letting on.

No damage, bike lift was in the down position as where I left it with one rear tiedown holding it firm, so I thought.

Red 81 has rolled back off the lift, fell and twisted slighted and then lodged its mirror bracket hard on the rubber left hand grip of the 78 and balanced there and the cat just sat and looked at it all bloody day...

He (or she) was probably thinking "that was neat. I wonder if I could do that again."

Glad to hear that there was no damage.

Crikey, Grant. That cat knows something about physics, for sure.
Very lucky really. Could have been much worse.

Gidday Fellas,

With the wiring now all sorted today and out of the way I would say the bike is now ready for registration (club plates).

The lower fairings will remain off while a few test rides around the block are completed etc and I am very happy with the end result to date from what it was like when I got it home a few months back.

Gidday Fellas

One last job done just to be sure, i pulled the heads and barrels off yesterday due to an annoying small oil weep from the push rod tube seals. New rubber seals, orings, gaskets and sealant went in then I buffed up the piston tops and valve seats etc, checked the rings and re-spaced them, torqued it all down to specs, set the valve clearances and then installed the lower fairing sections.
No oil weeps to be seen now and is running like a Swiss watch, registration this friday...

Bewdiful work, Grant. I like the dark screen, too.

So, will we be seeing you two at the Blue Duck in a few weeks?
