Dang---I was hoping for an RS super-cross video. But while looking for one, I did find this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lUKZM4zC5o

All of this makes total sense to me, with the exception of the off-road thing. That ain't happenin'.
There are varying levels of off road RSing.

I realize whatever bike you are riding off-road has, at that moment, an off-road capability-- hell, I encountered a couple on an Ultra Classic 20 miles down a Wyoming dirt road one time-- but not a beloved vintage bike festooned with pricey (NLA?) fiberglass bits, not in my world, anyway.. I'll reserve the 990 for that; grunge actually improves its appearance.

My RS has a nice s/hand fairing on it now. The original was covered in sand blast and stone chips from over twenty years of adv riding, but not damaged from vibrations and bumps.
I'm far less inclined to do track work on it now, because it looks very tidy. Have to wait for a few years.
