Airhead performance.

Post by ME 109 »

How do you think a stock 81airhead would fare up against this bike on the same section of road?

Haven't you been stuck in 2nd gear on that road?
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.

That was another road, but this road has plenty of second gear work too. Come to think of it, all my favorite mountain roads do.

So the guy is slow. Not everyone can really handle a bike. :geek:

Can't really go 'fast' on these roads. That's why an airhead can keep up.
They can't all be slow riders?

It's a tight road that one, but there are enough short straights where a high bhp bike can blitz some time.
The guy on the 'busa is smooth. Accelerating up hill from 35kph corners is another area where he'd make time over an airhead. On that road going downhill, I find the brakes are a limitation.
