If the level was affected wouldn't the mixture change every time the bike was leaned over in a corner ? Or would centrifugal force keep the fuel level perpendicular to the jets. Actually even if the fuel level was at a slant the jets are in the middle so any effect would be negligible.

I think your questions has two answers:
Would the fuel level slant have an impact on mixture. Answer no.
Would the fuel level change through flooding. Answer maybe if the floats and float needle are not in optimum condition.

On a solo bike, no sidecar, corners don't affect anything. If the level is affected in a corner, you just crashed.

Even with a sidecar no problem unless you were running Amal monobloc or similar carbs.
With the high and low speed circuits central to the float bowl you would have to lay the bike nearly on its side
have an effect.

Would you believe I actually checked before posting and wasn't much wiser. I concluded that from the fuels point of view it's centrifugal force and from an observers point of view it's centripetal force. Whether I understood that correctly or not it's definitely too anal.

The needle is in the center of the float assembly. This design allows the carburetor to be tilted sideways quite a bit without affecting the level. As the assembly is tilted to one side of the float assembly (one float) is deeper and the other is shallower by the same amount, so in theory the total buoyancy of the assembly, and the level remains almost the same.
