Today i have changed my voltage regulator to a new electronic one from motobins, changed clutch cable and replaced rubber boot over tacho cable at gearbox.
When i turned the key to start it no lights on the dash, it starts and goes fine just no dashlights
Any ideas,
Thanks Bob

Re: No Dashboard lights
As near as I can tell from the '77 wiring diagram, the critical lights on the dash are powered through the diode board which is tied to the voltage regulator. So, it would appear that there's some missed connection there or the regulator is not true plug-n-play for the bike. Which item did you buy?

Without the dash lights, specifically the GEN light, the bike won't charge.
Check you haven't knocked the large instrument plug out. It's at the back of the instruments and should be held in by a small screw.
Also, check you haven't blown a fuse.
