Interesting increase in value

I don't get it at all. I finished a partial restore on a 76 XS650. I was careful to keep all the original parts and keep the frame intact. I was hoping someone would just finish a bit of cosmetic work and have a nice original classic. I got a good price for it. I see it on Craigslist now all destroyed for double what I sold it for!! I really don"t think it will sell, but people appear to think if you cut it all up and call it a Bobber you can get lots of money for it...
