/2 carb configurations

Post by zweirader »

I purchased a /2 carb body listed as 1/24/26 but it's actually a 1/24/16 ( someone stamped a "2" over the "1") This carb body is for an R67 "not" an R67/3 for which i own. My question to everyone is....can this carb be used on my R67/3 or will it effect the performance since it's not the correct numbered carb for my R67/3. Personally i'd prefer the correct numbered carb body since i already have the other side carb...i need its mate. Anyone interested in a R67 carb body? Your comments highly appreciated

According to the Bing manual, the only difference between the -16 and the -26 is the main jet. The -16 has a 100 while the -26 has a 110. All other settings and jets are the same. I would think with the proper jet, the -16 could work very well.

If it's the same slide cutaway, then you should be fine as long as you match the jets and needle.

The Bing manual has a page showing carb numbers and specs:
