Well you were right Wobbly, I removed the fuel pump last night(started as a filter change). Lots of black goop underneath the pump and in the screen. Could this be the remains of the impeller!? All the rubber lines are mushy goop. It looks like I should be able to bench test the pump to see if it works. Any words of wisdom here?

On the in tank fuel pumps sometimes there is a pad that the pump sits on to absorb vibration. These can dissolve over time and create your chocolate mess.

Thanks, I will bench test the pump tonight. If the pump is bad, I guess I will have to buy the kit from euromotoelectric. They said the new parts in the kit are better for use with gasohol.

I looked in the parts fiche, there is a vibration damper, but it is on the top of the pump, the only thing on the bottom is a filter. That vibration damper is pretty pricey.

I got the whole kit from Euromotoelectric for 199. I was told that the new parts are better in E10 fuel.

Yep, you're going to need to start with all new fuel lines, because your bike pre-dates E10. You can use the common, black, J30 automotive fuel line from the LAPS for the external lines, but if you have fuel lines internal to the tank those are made with even more specialized hose rated for ethanol inside and outside.

After having the injectors cleaned, bike runs amazing! It cost me about 275 for the complete pump kit and injector cleaning.
