Painting and pinstripe

Post by R100 »

Does anyone know a good painter that also does pinstriping in Toronto? I have an R100RT that is in desperate need of a refresh. I think I also need decals for the side panels, but that is not a priority.
Thanks in advance.

not Toronto, but in Vermont. Northeast, at least.

There's http://www.heritagestickers.eu/ for your decals. Gian's a good guy.

I know a good striper too ;) The tyranny of distance won't work in your favour unfortunately.

Man that yellow bike is gorgeous. I ever paint my R65 I know what it will be. Though it still won't be an RS.

Thanks for the information on the decals. Those are great paint jobs.
And, yes, unfortunately, distance is a tyrant. I'm in Toronto Canada.

That striping is by Grant Fowler. He goes by the handle "Grant Fowler" here - anything to be different! :)

And I agree with Ed. That gold color is so tasty. It's my favorite RS color by quite a bit.

That color is a yummy yellow, indeed. The paint also looks to have a nice clear-coat overlay. I'm also wondering if there is some metallic in the paint or under the clear coat.

Still the 'flying blood clot' color is on top of my hit parade. A few years ago Justin Bowser (of R65 forum fame) painted up a set of body work for me in 'flying blood clot' livery. Only now have I finally installed it on my '77S bike. After that I spent a significant amount of time sitting on a stool and staring at my 'new' bike.

I am also very fond of the 'John Player' black and gold look. That would be my second favorite look on an airhead.

Pictures of the 77S ken or it's just "fake news"! ;)

My newly painted JPS had a spill two weeks back. Luckily for the paint, none of the new bits were touched. Right fairing damage which insurance will sort out.
