+1 on Motobins for the correct part. I just looked and motobins have them in stock. Just about everyone likes motobins for their prices and service.

Re: rubber boots
I learned a lesson about fork boots; don't buy 'em unless you're sure of their quality. I bought a couple of boots from some purveyor of airhead parts, automatically expecting them to be OEM, or at least OEM quality. Upon receiving the boots I saw that they were marked as made in Italy. Did I want to go through the hassle of trying to convince the seller, who already had my money, that I was due for a refund. After all, how bad could they be?
As I found out the boots could be shitty! They lasted almost no time at all.
Where I'm at now, in Boise, Idaho, there is a BMW dealer, about a half dozen blocks from me. I can order OEM parts from the dealer and get them in a week or so. What a luxury!

I recently purchased boots online after carefully inspecting the seller's photos to verify that they at-least appeared stock. I was very disappointed when they arrived to discover that they look nothing like the stock gaiters, or the seller's photos for that matter.
To the seller's credit, I was given a refund & I was allowed to keep the boots, but not without a valuable lesson learned!

Hey Guys,
thanks for your comments
I looked them up at the webpage of Hornig here in Germany.
They offered 5 different sizes and after measuring the size of my current boots I finally new which one I should buy.
The quality seems to be very good. I haven't had problems with the installation.
The price is ok, I can't complain.
Atfer a telephone conversion I found out that they ship nearly to every country.
In the case you want to try one oth there rubber boots too, here you will find one of them (and also a picture with the measures):

Re: rubber boots
Unbelievably I still have the original BMW boots (28 years, 495,000kms ) on my GSPD
They are still in perfect condition, cosmetically and functionally.
They must have done something right when they chose the material and design of these.

I bought the 11-rib OEM gaiters for my '79 R65. They worked very well.
If you like roundels, don't forget to order the official hose clamps!
Also, as was pointed out to me by Duane, pull the bottom as far down as possible on the slider, to allow full compression of the forks.
