I'm looking for a Denfeld Solo seat complete set. For an R60///2.

The attachment small 1967 R60 copy.jpg is no longer available
I have a nice Corbin solo seat on it now. It's very nice. BUT the little stutter bumps on the country roads jar my vintage back. I was wondering if the way the Denfeld seat is suspended with a rubber bumper would be a smother ride? I've never ridden on a solo Denfeld so I don't have any experience. What do you think, will it make the sharp little bumps a little less sharp?

A Denfeld solo seat will certainly change the ergonomics. In looking at the picture with the Corbin, the sitting plane of the seat seems to be essentially in plane with the rear rack. With the Denfeld, that same sitting position will be about 2 inches higher. So that will change the orientation of your spine, hips, etc. As for being a smoother ride, the silent block that comes with the solo seat is somewhat stiff but there is a slight adjustment for that depending on the weight of the rider. The butt sits on the rubber cover which is certainly flexible. So the silent block and rubber cover combine to provide some cushion to the rider.

Thank you Kurt. I hope to give one a try before I buy one. Or not.

Where in Ohio do you live? Maybe there's a /2 near you.

I've got the Pagusa saddle on my R26 and am in the process of moving it to my '58 R69. The latter will likely see more miles hence the move. Very comfortable and adjustable for weight.
