Hoske

Post by Zombie Master »

I posted before about looking for a new exhaust. I recently discovered Hoske mufflers and was wondering if any of you had used them.

While my stainless muffler still work fine, it would be nice to hear the tone of the boxer. I have heard a few go by with after market pipes, and it's been the nicest sound I've ever heard from a bike.

I'm not looking for loud at all, but I would like to hear more tone, before our internal combustion engines are legislated out of existence.

I've been riding airheads almost 50 years with stock exhausts. I've had an in service airhead since I was 18.

I wonder if re-jetting would be required.

Is there any improvement to throttle response or handling.

The You tube posts demonstrating the sound of these pipes are underwhelming.

Your thoughts on these mufflers would be appreciated. :)

Haven't you ever heard a 1970 Triumph Bonneville?

For which, by the way, I wish I could find stainless pipes and mufflers, sigh.

Owned a 67 TR6 and yes it's a great sound. But the drone of an airhead on the highway is the best motorcycle sound I've ever heard, quite aeronautic. BTW I've owned a MG Lemans too!

I fitted a pair some years ago. Sound is terrific, without being too load.
The chrome has pitted a bit.

One of the woman in our group had a pair of Hoskes years ago. We made her ride last.............nobody wanted to ride behind that noise. She liked it.

SteveD, I did contact them and they only make pipes for modern Triumphs. But thanks!

They have removable baffles. I wonder if they were in?

Keihan make some straight through silencers, ask for the Jim Cray specials, same price as the standard ones but loud and Jim showed some useful power gains.
