Continental tkc 70

Hi,

I have an R80 1991 and need new tyres - as I am planning to go on some rugged tours I was looking to fit some TKC 70 tyres - Has anyone else done this? I am not even sure if they will fit...

After 50 years of riding motorcycles, the only solid conclusion I have reached as far as tire selection is concerned is:
It's all trial and error.

Generally speaking it's best bet is to stick to the stock recommended size(s) if they are still available while keeping in mind that different brand tires with the same size indicated on the sidewall are not necessarily actually the same size.
Tires that work well for some riders on some bikes under certain conditions may not work well for you and your bike so beware of internet tire reviews and the opinions of others.

This is what happened to me when my habitual tires became temporarily unavailable and I tried another highly acclaimed brand.
What a learning experience that was.
