Gidday blokes, back at the coal face.
Sept '81 build RS
After bloody ages, it's time to fix my indicator switch.
What I'm finding is the indicator switch will activate the flash can at a faster speed without the indicators working, but if I move the switch slightly back towards centre, I can get the indicators working, but it's a real small sweet spot and a pita if I really need them.
I don't understand how the flash can works, but not the indicators.
Anyway, I have a seemingly good second hand switch but it's got a headlight on/off, where my stock switch is lights on always.
I'm wondering if my stock circuit board will accommodate the on/off type switch or whether I'm in for a world of pain swapping it to find a different board?
Perhaps I'll see if I can fix the oe switch that's on it, while waiting for those in the know.
I might even learn to post pics again without a photo host.

Re: Indicator working on and off. :-)
Ah Ha, bingo! Pulled the switch apart and got in there with electrical contact cleaner and moved the switch a bunch of times and now it's working like a champ!
Sure glad I didn't take the route of pulling the switch out, not fun when it's cold and all the wires are stiffer than me.
All those times I didn't/couldn't use my indicators....well I still won't use them unless I really need to.
Can't accidentally leave them on if I don't turn them on.

Indeed, my next turn intention might be privileged information. Strictly on a Need To Know basis.
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.
