As a onetime alternative to Ken’s spring rally, would there be any interest in having the May rally in Austin Texas?
We have good riding around here (Fredericksburg, Luchanbach, a bunch of lakes, etc.) and I have the facilities and space to host (covered deck, shop, indoor and outdoor showers and room for several RVs and lots of tents).
Ken says he will lend us the flag, so it would be official and everything.
No date has been set, but May is wide open for me. If there is intrest, setting a date would be the first step.
To keep with forum rules, I suppose we should have this discussion here:

Re: Alternative Spring Rally !
I think this may be something great in the making here Brad, come this May.
Brad's three acre niche in the world is nestled on a wooded Austin, Texas hillside just above the Colorado River. His backyard deck is big enough to handle any amount of airheads, bikes or riders. Rough and tumble camping sites abound around his house.
Brad could also make a claim of being a gateway to the great little roads of the beautiful Texas hill country. A couple hour Saturday group ride on backcountry roads to Luckenbach for a beer or two would be in fine order. Those with much more side-ride saddle time in mind could be handed some print-out maps of superb country road scenic rides.
Maybe Saturday night out on the deck will have a back-drop of a big, big screen cycling film going on in the background. Who knows....maybe Willie Nelson will be in the neck of the woods for a song or two. (On the road.......agin.....)
Lot's of opportunities at Brad's place, folks, to fill in this May for some more of that great Boxerworks Forum camaraderie.
More info/threads to follow. Stay tuned.
