Electrical Gremlin.....

Post by jlibby »

Have developed a quirky electrical issue over the winter that makes no sense to me. All electrics worked fine when I put it away last fall. Here goes - 1965 R60. When my headlight is off, but key pushed in for starting, my Hella blinkers work fine and bright. When the key is turned to either headlight on, or parking light on, the blinkers stop working. Makes no difference if the motor is running as I get same result. Could it be in the switch? I pulled it apart and all wires connected properly. The battery is charged. Something I'm not thinking of?

Did your blinkers ever work "correctly" before, that is with the key in any position? Vech has instructions for properly wiring the barend signals. Is yours wired like this?
