That is one of the last good looking Ducati engines IMO. The newer ones just don't have the beautiful shape and polished casings.SteveD wrote:The Sport is a luverley bike to behold, but it's a bit like the orange Lav750 of the same era. Arse breaker seat and hip stiffener positioning.
The GT750, on the other hand, is just as gorgoeus, and in it's day reasonably affordable.
I had one just like this, but a plain red tank.

Now there's a problem, I like to ride dirt, mainly dirt roads rather than off road but I wouldn't mind that if I had the opportunity .There are some very good off road rides in Oz .I definitely dislike the appearance of almost every off road bike I've seen over the last 20 years. My ST is great to look at but this thing will GO .
This is an exception .http://terramostro.com/index.cfm An off road Ducati 695 !
A brilliant motor in a supermoto frame with 21'' front and 18'' rear .

Now that would be a fun ride! Perfect explorer rooster! I need one! I was surprised when BMW canceled the HP2 Enduro. To get one in good shape has gotten Ubber expensive. I was hoping to score one used. I've got a problem taking a pristine $20,000 bike down a rutted logging road. But if I can find a scratched up one for cheap in good mechanical shape I'm good to go!
