Uncle Mark, that gem is worth anyone's painting their "Heads" red, and as the official Style Guru here, (I've got a badge, and everything ...) I'm happy to sanction this departure from the sacred norm.

Hello and welcome from another relative newby. Is the color supposed to represent the local college football team?

I know Boise St. fans are aware of the Fresno State Red Wave football fans...however the color choise is from a more primal perspective. I will envite you to scroll up to the image of Miss Moore...Red heads inspire me.

ZM, the red valve covers keep the oil in.

Once again, Jeff to the top! Good one.

By the way, I saw the red valve covers as a visual choice; one that wouldn't need explanation.
