How do you where your gloves?

Post by Garnet »

I have been out shopping for some waterproof cold weather gloves. I have allways worn traditional gauntlet style gloves durring the cold season.
I have a new FirstGear Kilimanjaro jacket and it is quite bulky at the cuffs and I'm haveing a hard time finding a modern glove that I can get over the jacket cuff with the other glove on.

One of the sales people recomended that I wear a short glove with the jacket cuff tight as this would be more waterproof without the water running down my arm into the gauntlet. This is opposite to the way I have allways thought. I have allways tried to stop the wind and rain from blowing up my arms.

What do you guys do?

Bullshit !
Find a gauntlet glove that will fit over the coat sleeve.

Same as Vanzen , then buy some rubber overgloves .I've never owned leather gloves that didn't leak .

My Held's have pretty big gauntlets.

The sale's person is right that it's a problem either way: jacket over glove wind and water can run up your arm - glove over jacket water can run down inside your glove. If I have to choose between water and wind AND water, I'll take the water. At least with a gauntlet I'm not fighting a 70 mph wind trying to force the water in.

Say, these are rubberized and are the gauntlet type.
And are safety color. Perfect....

Help me decide

I too am looking for moe betta winter gloves. Help me decide please. One thing about gauntlets, and water down the sleeve: your handle bar height can have a big effect on this situation. If your bars are racerboy low. then water will drip down. If the gloves sit close to horizontal, you probably won't have a problem.

These look good and have a free replacement warranty if you fall off.

I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.
