Fuel information

A lot of fuel additives contain alcohol. Be careful what you're dumping in your tank. You should always check out the MSDS sheet to see what's in your additives (Google is your friend!).

One thing that never seems to get a mention on fuel threads is burning speeds - the current crop of fuels burn a bit faster than the leaded that was around when BMW was marking flywheels - probably about three degrees faster.

I set the timing on my dual plug 1000cc G/S by trial and error up a nice long hill and it is best where I can only just see the mark - probably 26/27 BTDC .
