1966 Wards Riverside bike

I believe the mid-size Wards Riversides were rebadged Benellis. They had some smaller stuff that was Japanese, but I'm pretty sure all the full-size stuff was Italian.

Darryl Richman has a page on his website about one he owned...he does indicate that Wards sourced their bikes from Benilli.

We all know the reputation for Italian made vehicles. However, some of the finest shot guns in the world are made by Benelli. I was quite skeptcal until my Navy Seal friend told me stories of how well they hold up under less than ideal conditions. One model is the standard shot gun for the Seals. They cost an arm and a leg, so I had to get one. I won't be able to fire it for a few months, at least not until I recover from surgery.

I remember the Wards and Sears catalogs in my beginings a 250cc was a world traveler entry bike ( I got the motorcycle fever at age 8) I surched Catalogs for information to the "TICKET"

Sears 2 strokes or Wards 4 stroke eventually I'd see the good returns found only from a 4 stroke motor

I often think of the Benalli or Duc as see many race and non race storys

I started with a 250 single from Harley that was italian made

My last owner ship with a single was a BSA 441

The Wards Benellis were neat bikes in their day. There has been one on craigs list here in Colorado for a long time now.

And I am sorry about the 441 Victor (Victim). I had one of those in years past. When it ran it was a tractor but it did not run very often. LOL:
