Well according to my calendar, it is only 5 weeks to the Alpine Rally..... Would be a pity to miss it I reckon.
Any starters?
Wee Jasper!.. there's a name for our foreign brothers to contemplate!
Doug... who is keen !

Re: Speaking of the Alpine Rally......
Jasper is a name I like, given its connection to rascals.
This will be number 6 Alpine for me.
It's at Brindabella this year, a great little spot on private property with a beautiful mountain stream right beside the camp site.
I caught 4 nice little trout for entre for the chaps last time.
I think there will be much the same crew that you met last time Doug.
Maybe it's Alpine number 7?
See you there Doug. Did you tell your ol' man?

Re: Speaking of the Alpine Rally......
I'm in. My plan is to head up on Friday morning so I don't arrive with frozen extremities after dark, (eh Doug?).
I also plan to avoid the budget whiskey. Although it seemed like fun at the time when the ground kept leaping up and hitting me on the head, it wasn't so much fun the following day. Gotta learn something from previous years!

Mmm!.. Well no, I havn't mentioned to the old man .... for fear that he would jump at it!!!
I spose at 91 and blind, it's not too old to have your first go at riding 2 up and camping out in the ice and snow!
He'd be on firmer ground advising Charlie on his choice and consumption of cheap whiskey ...
Meanwhile, Ive blocked out Friday in my calendar!!!

Don't worry about the frost on that bike Mal, I've seen way more than that at the Alpine.
