Speaking of the Alpine Rally......

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Bugger...Jeff's posted at just after 10:00am here so it must've been reasonably early.
Sounds like Pete will be ok which is paramount. Heal well, heal quick. Bloody 'roos.

edit: Just spoke to staff at ED in Wangaratta Hospital...Pete had just been transferred (1630 ish) to Royal Melbourne Hospital. I have no further details as family only get that etc...usual deal.

Here in Victoria, road trauma is best managed at The Alfred Hospital or the Royal Melbourne as they're specially funded and best set up for care of people with trauma. At least he's being shunted to the right place 240ks away pdq.

Pete's in ICU at Royal Melbourne. No further info available. Family only.
No condition report available either, so let's us all think good things and send them his way for the next few days.

Hans and I are back at Bethanga to a warm fire and there's a feed on the way. We travelled very sedately in 'roo zones, of course, and it was a lovely ride. A great weekend except for Pete's disaster.
I'm looking forward to getting an update on his current condition. Heal well, mate.

Good to hear you and Hans are home Charlie.
Thank you again Charlie, Hans, and Doug from Boxerworks forum, a splendid weekend indeed.
Thanks to the other guys too, who aren't on Boxerworks.

Spoke to Pete's brother this afternoon.

Pete has sustained several injuries and will no doubt have experienced severe pain. Hopefully his carers will now have him pumped to the max with pain killers.

He is still in icu, however he is ready to go to a ward from what I've been told.
As you know , information can get twisted as it gets passed down the line so I don't wish to tell too much of a story.

More info as it comes to hand.
