Congrats Mel. A spectacular finish.
And working on patina development will definitely help to diminish any tendency to suffer from feelings of post-project anti-climax. Have fun.

Dropped it at a remote intersection because I was undecided about left or right before I realized I'd stopped.

In other news, I'm no longer working at The Number Factory. The future is undecided at this point, but I think it will include working with tangible objects and/or customer interaction, things that have been missing from my professional life these last several years.

Ah Mel, it's good to start on the patina development, but perhaps another week or two of gleaming perfection would have been nice. Condolences, and I hope your dignity is intact. Congrats on the career change, whichever way it goes - dealing with real-time analogue humans or objects is bound to be an improvement.

I am facing daily dilemmas about which bits of patina to retain. I really don't want to steal Brunhilde's history while I clean and repair and repaint. Valve covers say volumes - this is my compromise -

Scuffs on the bottom of the valve covers LOOKS Just SOOOOOO macho!
But the pegs need to match.

Yeah, and ones that are ground while moving are a lot more macho than the marks from falling over when stopped at an intersection. :lol:

Yes Major, several parallel horizontal marks do look much more orderly than random vertical, angled and horizontal lines. :mrgreen:
A matching foot brake lever is also available.
