Early Krauser Pannier lock key question

Hi, on my 1980 RS it came complete with the original early krauser panniers with the roung BMW badge on the lids.

They are open but i have no keys. The locks say Sundhaus Locking system. Is there any way that i can obtain the associated key number which will hopefully be stamped on the locks somewhere.

Many thanks. I have dropped them a line to see if they can advise where to find the barrel number and then maybe provide keys.

Most if not all of the early pannier locks are key no. 150, should say "S150" on top of the lock next to the key hole. Keys are available from sherlocks & works.+ if you still have the "ejector" type seatbelt type pannier to frame mounts either use a strap or the bolt through the frame & pannier mod to avoid depositing your smalls all over the motorway.......

What a BLIND BSTARD i am!!!!

I read the script around the lock and sure enough it says S150 but i never clicked that this was the key number. I will get a couple ordered Tout Suite as they say in the Dordogne.

Really Grateful for pointing me in the right Direction.

Probably loads of questions from me in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled.

I wouldn't feel bad. It would be very easy to think that was the model number of the tumbler assembly.

Those locks are not too difficult to 'pick' when keys are lost.
I lost my keys about 15 years ago..
Good thing is, I've never lost them again.
