George of Bethanga has confirmed his booking and he is bringing two 15 year old trainees (Phil and Jack) in the outfit on Saturday. Laverda Lex of Melburg is also packing, and will prolly hit Bethanga on Thursday.
I'm keeping an i on the weather forecasts. Pretty good so far, but be prepared for cool conditions.
Sibbo, you can bet on it. Absent friends will be toasted. Possibly roasted a bit too.

Cool conditions , a dream! After the last week you must be hoping for it.

Indeed. We had a steamy 40 here last Thursday. It reached a November record of 45 in parts of western Victoria. Bushfire season is not looking good for this year.Sibbo wrote:Cool conditions , a dream! After the last week you must be hoping for it.

oh, yeah... it's actually summer now, isn't it...
man this is an unforgiving part of the country (for those of us not keen on the bottom end of the thermometer).

Forecast for Corryong is 31C Friday, 33C Saturday and 25C Sunday. I'd guess it'd be a little cooler at Geehi, just right for the flies and insects. Best burn some sheep shit close to the campfire!
I'm still a chance but need to sort something for my 14yo to do. He won't sit on the back for that distance.

Thredbo forecast is Friday 4 to 15, Saturday 8 to 20 and Sunday 6 to 12. Geehi should be somewhere in between.SteveD wrote:Forecast for Corryong is 31C Friday, 33C Saturday and 25C Sunday. NW Vic had it the other day. Fuel load seems very high this year. A few very hot days and it'll go off I reckon.Sibbo wrote:Have you guys got a total fire ban yet ?SteveD wrote:Forecast for Corryong is 31C Friday, 33C Saturday and 25C Sunday.
