This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Great to hear it all went well.
Wonderful to see the pics and read the stories. Charlie you write really well, you should collate your adventures in an e-book or something I reckon.

I thought the trout pic especially appetising.

Hot here, again, every day, even the Oleanders are curling up their leaves and the bloody grass crunches like you are walking on cornflakes. My daughter is pestering me to go for a ride, may try to get out for an early morning ride.

I am open to ideas on an Autumn gathering. Will have some leave by then.
Have I missed any posts on this?

cheers

Ahem, back on track.

Ducati Pete, Neal on a GS1200, Airbear, Jim and Hamish.
Audio is a bit crap, But I'll have it right next time.
This vid is up in the Snowy Mountains, between Cooma and Kiandra.
The damage done by wild fires just a few years ago is still very evident. This sort of damage is typical over a huge area.

Good vid, great road that.
Grant and I did it from the other direction on the way home from Talbingo early the Sunday morning. There was barely no traffic, except a green hwy patrol car along the river valley the Adaminaby side of Kiandra. That's ok, 'cause then we knew where he was!
Cheers, Steve

Yeah, can't complain about the roads up there or the police people, who seem pretty thin on the ground. Your bike made such a nice noise going past, Jeff. Must have been your camera whirring.

I went for a ride up the Omeo highway yesterday, escorting LaverdaLex and BeemerAthol, who were heading for The Duck. There's a nice new bit of tar between the Holloway Log Track and the Walnuts, only about 3 kms, but indicative of what the whole road will be like soon. The Vic gummint has committed to sealing the rest of it.

It's going to be a very fine High Risk Area for motorcyclists. Yay.

Mal, no talk yet about an Autumn get-together. Let us know when you are likely to have leave and we can start thinking about it.
