My guess is that it is a description of yourself as well. 8-)

Monte keeps his rubber parts soft and supple with free coffee from the neighborhood funeral parlor. ;)

Thanks for your thoughts.
Good plan, not a good place for H2O.

As far as buzzing of the bars, spend some more time balancing carbs. The best part of an airhead is how smooth it is on the highway. :D

My thoughts as well. You will be amazed at the changes with even just a small carb balance error corrected.
Well done on the MOT pass.

Does anyone have a picture of gspd's modified throttle control (two cables/no splitter) with a cable adjuster mounted on it for just one of the throttle cables?
In this way, Derek, he was able to make small adjustments while going down the road.

Duane suggests the same thing using the left carb's adjuster - but that requires taking your eyes off the road longer and having your hand way down there.
It probably was no big deal when Duane was riding, as there were so few other vehicles sharing the roadway back then... ;)

"It did a bit of head shaking when I was taking a roundabout at speed but I never felt the bike would lose control."

That isn't normal, or safe. Since you are new to this boxer stuff, be warned, that can get very dangerous very quickly. If it isn't stable, then it is dangerous and you won't have time or skill to get out of it.

I am surprised that you got this many comments and nobody thought to warn you about the instability.

+1; check/have your headset bearings' torque checked. It shouldn't wobble in curves.

I feel silly (again) but it always helps to check your tyre pressures-yep,just needed air in the tyres, oops!

checked the tyre pressures,20 psi in the front tyre and only 15 psi in the rear, that'll get the bike squirming on the corners,I'll need to get a couple of right angle adapters for the tyre valve stems as the air hose at the petrol station can't get in(as usual) to the valve, not enough room.
