Any "creative adapters/technological advancers and developers" with data on using helium (or for the real cutting-edge daredevils, hydrogen) to reduce an airhead's unsprung weight and improve its handling?
I like a challenge.

Volume of the tube approx. 0.5 Cu ft

Air weighs 0.085 lbs/Cu ft at atmospheric pressure

That's 0.04275 lbs

or approx 0.1 lb at 36psi

Hydrogen being 14 times lighter than air would weigh approx. 0.12 oz

You'd save approx. 1.5 oz or 40 grams per wheel using Hydrogen followed shortly after by another few grams when the hydrogen had leaked out through the tube.
And with a much smaller volume, the US team felt it was worthwhile to fill their bicycle tires with helium for the track events at the 1984 Olympics.

One more thing on the latex tube deal--they need daily topping up in the bicycle application.
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.

I guess we all pick our poisons, eh?
Whereas I respect Gietle's boxer R&D
and the studies of Foale regarding motorcycle dynamics,
I will not have Monsanto messing with my berries.

Unsurprisingly, the blueberry box says nothing about Monsanto, but it does say that the berries came from Georgia, U.S.A., where the growing season, presumably, gets an earlier start than in "Pure Michigan". I can't confirm the rumor that Meijers' low-bid overnight fruit-deliverer is a nut on motorcycle pulling a trailer loaded with blueberry flats, who claims he can go faster and carry a few extra ounces of berries by running hydrogen in his after-market bike and trailer wheels.

The genetically manipulated juice of the blingon berry,
a product of Monsanto laboratories, the world's #1 pesticide producer,
is best not to be consumed -
but performs faultlessly as a "run-flat" compound
in a hydrogen filled mc tire-tube.

Soon, wild blueberries, mulberries, and raspberries
will surround the schoolhouse.
It is always a race to collect my fill
before the birds and deer harvest them all for themselves.
Mrs. Karpo down the road makes the best raspberry jam !
No hydrogen will be harmed in the process.

Unsure about your berries ?
After all, unlike many countries in the world,
our govt does not require
that the consumer be informed of GMO tampering ...

For those who care about what they eat
a free app is available that provides this information

Can't we get back to our old actually sensible topics, like the value of running genuine German air in our tires?

I voted to not have them mess with mine but can you believe that the people of California bought into the message that it will "cost more" to write on the label if products are GMO or not? That's where I live. These morons tried to first, kill my wife and then, a little later, to kill me in their cars today when we were on a bicycle ride. Man, I love riding my bikes, both motorized and not but if the food doesn't kill me, the motorists are putting up a good and regularly scheduled effort!

A bit presumptuous, Chuey. It is entirely possible that the same idiots who tried to kill you also voted FOR Prop. 37.

I'll admit, I was somewhat cynical about the effectiveness of Prop. 37, as proposed. I imagined it being as successful in protecting us as Prop. 65 has been. The "noise" of safety labeling has risen to the level of drowning itself out.

I see how my wording is unclear. I should have written "Californians tried to first...... In other words, the sentence was intended to be connected to "That's where I live." and not to imply the vote/deadly driver connection.
