The little piece of frame that the coils bolt to tends to break off on these bikes. It happened to me and resulted in weird and slow onset grounding problems. I am not sure, but I believe Rob told me it was a known and common problem. Its easy to check.

Sachse igntions say very much the same as Boyer, in that an intermittent Loss of ground or power will upset an electronic to a noticeable degree compared to points. He advised checking both ignition and kill switches

Don't Boyer advise that their systems will only fit bean cans with mechanical modifications ?
