Got Me A New Cheap Tent

Post by grant81rs »

Gidday fellas
I know!, I Know! and that old saying "You get what you pay for" was ringing in my ears when the "check out chick" buzzed it over the scanner but times are tuff and this is from Aldi's the marker of good German products, it was only $39.00 and all I can go by is that their motorcycle "tank bags" were fantastic for $45.00 which I have been using for quite a while now, with all zips still in tacked and after a little consultation with SteveD on the mobile phone from aisle 2 the decision was made, SteveD also brought one through the week so time will tell, it packs down nice and small, the pegs were a bit on the little side but I have some bigger ones to swap over

Straight home and set her up in the backyard where she will stay (hopefull) all week with some good rains expected for the mother of all tests.......Fingers Crossed!! but I just hope the rabbit doesn't get any ideas and move in

That's a good idea...set up in the back yard...if it leaks, it can go straight back! Aldi have an excellent return policy.

I went into Aussies Disposals today and got new thermals for on the bike, I think I'll need them on the run next month

Looking forward to the report! It's raining c&d's here now.

Maybe I should post them down to you. The LJ's will be good for sleepin' in though.

Gidday Fellas,

Tent update:

Pissed rain and wind last night, I laid awake listening to it howl up the valley....I went out into the backyard this morning and wandered over to the "unpowered sites" area to see the rabbit doing "back stroke" and not looking to impressed with the conditions and heres my little Aldi $39.00 tent still standing proud and tall like the day I put her up so in I go boots and all and what do I see...............................................................Nothing! its as dry as a nuns nasty!!. so far 10/10

Dry as a nun's nasty? I think that is even drier than a dead dingo's donger. Well, you can't say fairer than that, eh Grant? Well done.

It's pretty soggy up here too. They reckon Lake Hume might fill this year after 10 years of drought.
