Hello all,
I am a rider of street & dual-sport bikes for over 20 years & 1/4 million Km (~150,000 mi). I have had a '72 75/5 Toaster in Polaris Silver for about a decade now, but I have never found a forum whose members post more frequently than every 6 months; until now!
I am also currently riding a 2008 BMW G550x, a 2006 Buell XB12Ss and a 2007 ZX6r. Some past rides of mine include an XS650, NT647gt, CB750, 919, VFR, KZ650, KLX250sf and CB600f.
Looking forward to joining in!
So this is where all the airhead action is!

Does each of your bikes get a garage that big?
Welcome and it sounds like you will fit right in.

Welcome to the forum gocytocis! How'd you come up with that handle?
That sure is a nice toaster.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us!
I'm sure a bunch of us can hardly wait to give you that advice. But from the looks of your tasty /5 we might be better off getting advice from you.
Ken

WARNING!
There is at least one poster here who will tell you there's no such thing as a "toaster."
Don't worry about it. We all know he's wrong.

I know just who you're talking about, Major. But I won't spill the beans about his identity either--no matter how much he might deserve it. He seems to think that just because he sold new /5s, with those chrome panels on the tank, from his very own BMW Motorcycle dealership, that he knows more about them than we do.

Thanks for the welcome belk, steve, ken, major & jean!
I even have to distinguish whether I am speaking about a 'Bimmer' or a 'Beemer' depending on whether I mean a motorcycle or a car!
Ahhh, aren’t we BMW aficionados anally retentive people? I also used to belong to a BMW ’02 series car owners club so I am quite familiar with the kinds of squabbles folks can get into over nomenclatures. Is it a ‘roundie’ or a ‘square tail’? is it a ‘long’ or a ‘short’ bumper? Is an ‘Alpina’ actually a ‘BMW’?Major Softie wrote:there's no such thing as a "toaster."
